The Episode 217 of the SERVICOM help desk Radio programme held on the 6th of June 2023, the National Coordinator, Mrs  Nnenna  Akajemeli  and  Mrs Henrietta  Okokon  of  the Public Awareness Unit  where in the studio.

The N.C congratulated the New Spokes Man of the Nigerian Customs Service and said SERVICOM will further connect with them to add value and improve services for Nigerians. Due to much cases in the studio, she was not opportune to speak on service delivery topics.

The Episode 216 of the SERVICOM help desk Radio programme held on the 23 of May 2023, the Public Awareness Manager, Mrs Henrietta  Okokon  was in the studio.

She responded to the issue of Regulations and casualization in the Banking sector and thanked the Brekete Family programme for given visibility to service delivery initiative across MDA’s in the Nation.

Mrs Henrietta added that the NDIC and CBN are the actual regulators of Banking Operation/Regulations in Nigeria; we will engage them and find a lasting solution to the issues raised.

Highlight and Matters arising from Episode 215 of the SERVICOM Help Desk Radio Programme.

The Episode 215 of the SERVICOM help desk Radio programme held on the 16 of May 2023, the National Coordinator, Mrs  Nnenna  Akajemeli  and  Mrs Henrietta  Okokon  of  the Public Awareness Unit  where in the studio and featured Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency ( NEMSA)

Engr Ibrahim Haruna, Engr Usman Momoh , Engr Adeolu Tayo, Mrs Amah Maureen and Mrs Mildred Imoquede were all  teams  from NEMSA. Engr Ibrahim Haruna spoke on behalf of the Agency and said NEMSA was established to Police the Power industry to ensure that all technical standard and regulations are complied with for the safety of Life and  property  and We carry out technical inspection and Certification of all categories of Electrical Installations in Nigeria.

We make sure any Electrician carrying out installation of Electric Transformers and House Wiring are Certified and Qualified for that purpose before it is commissioned, Engr Ibrahim said. He adviced the general public that any electrician coming for installation in their Houses must be NEMSA Certified and this can be confirmed from our website which has all the list of Certified  electrician in the Country, he added.

When a Government organisation wants to issue out a contract regarding Electricity project, they must confirm if that company has NEMSA Certification while doing their Bidding process. For Metering, our role is to test the integrity of the Metre, Engr Ibrahim said. He further advised citizens to check their metres at home, if they don’t see NEMSA stamp on it that means it has not gone through their Certification and it can be said to be a fake metre.

Engr Usman  Momoh  said they also inspect cable lines,electrical accidents and look out for damaged or worn-out  electrical installations and Network Monitoring, he further gave out there social media handles and phone number as follows; info@nemsa.gov.ng , 07068681566.

Highlight and Matters arising from Episode 213 of the SERVICOM Help Desk Radio Programme

The Episode 213 of the SERVICOM help desk Radio programme held on the 2nd of May 2023, the National Coordinator, Mrs  Nnenna  Akajemeli   was in the studio.

The N.C spoke on the Topic ‘’Disengagement and the feedback that comes From  it’’ she said feed and updates are crucial aspect of service delivery as this will help to measure the satisfaction level of the customers that came to take service and this will lead to great patronage of the organisation

The N.C urged citizens to look out for contact numbers when they are not satisfied and reach out to SERVICOM, She added that the SERVICOM Office calls Nodal Officers to give Quarterly Report on their activities and how they improve services in their  MDA’s , this Report will be forwarded to their CEO’s after an objective scoring with evidence to see the level of  their service delivery performance and ways of improving it.

Feedback helps an organisation gain trust and increase in visibility, the NC said. SERVICOM collects feedback from internal officers to ensure they are treated right and positioned to deliver service and this will lead to service improvement in the various Ministries Department and Agencies of Government.

The Episode 211 of the SERVICOM help desk Radio programme held on the 11th of April 2023, the National Coordinator, Mrs  Nnenna  Akajemeli  and  Mrs Henrietta  Okokon  of  the Public Awareness Unit  where in the studio.

The SERVICOM office brought the National Data Protection Bureau (NDPB) to enlighten Nigerians on the importance of the protection of their Data which borders on their ‘’Identity’’, the information may be sensitive or non-sensitive.  Doctor Vincent  Olatunji, National Commissioner and CEO NDPB, Established on 4th February 2022 mainly to protect the right, freedom and privileges of Nigerians where ever your Data is collected and stored.

Doctor Vincent spoke on Data subjects, Data controller and Data processor,  he said your Data must be protected with any organisation collating your Data. Any organisation that wants Data must tell you what they want to do with it, who they want to shear it with and you have the right to demand and make amendment on your Data.

Malicious use of your Data is illegal especially by Loan companies, Doctor Vincent said. He further advised citizens to read through any request asking them to Click Accept or Reject when they apply for a Loan or something else, section 37 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria also talks about the protection of your private Data, he added.

Our Bill on Data protection in the National Assembly has passed the first and second Reading in other to give the Bureau a Legislative Backing, you can request for your Data rectification when you feel it’s not correct. Doctor Vincent said. The Office Of The Secretary  To The Government Of The Federation issued a Circular on the 7th of November 2022 to all MDA’s to comply with the provisions of the Law by ensuring they put in place their privacy policy, Data protection officers and file their annual report with the bureau and they have complied, Doctor Vincent added.

The Episode 210 of the SERVICOM help desk Radio programme held on the 4th of April 2023, the National Coordinator, Mrs  Nnenna  Akajemeli  and  Mrs Henrietta  Okokon  of  the Public Awareness Unit  where in the studio.

The Public Awareness Manager spoke on the Topic ‘’Impotance of Work Plan as an Effective Tool for Enhancing Work flow in service delivery process in the MDA’s’’. work  plan is a  written document  designed to streamline a particular project, it also represent a formal road map for an activity you want to carry out in your  organisation for the year, it is also a platform used as a guiding document that helps you realise and get effective team collaboration in you organisation, it is very detailed, has time line, information of responsibilities and Budgetary provision  with expected outcome.

The SERVICOM office encourages MDA’s to send in their work plan for us to measure their standard and score the MDA according to performance during presentations at the Quarterly Breakfast meeting, she added. One of the objectives of work plan is to bridge customer service’s  with service providers, it is an effective tool for accountability for MDA’s and to also hold Government responsible.

Increasing productivity is also one of the benefits of a work plan, it improves your work balance, helps MDA’s to focus on their goals, enhances work flow and teaches you to prioritise your work and control your time.

The N.C added that, the essence of a work plan is to organise us to get better result in our organisation. She encouraged service providers to always plan, set goals and standards and the result will be pleasant.

Highlight and Matters arising from Episode 209 of the SERVICOM Help Desk Radio Programme.

The Episode 209 of the SERVICOM help desk Radio programme held on the 28th of March 2023, the National Coordinator, Mrs  Nnenna  Akajemeli  and  Mrs Henrietta  Okokon  of  the Public Awareness Unit  where in the studio.

In line with delivering effective service delivery to the citizens, the SERVICOM office has come up a Quarterly Breakfast Meeting  strategy  for MDA’s to tell the SERVICOM office how they serve their customers and improve their services going  forward  and by the end of the year, the SERVICOM office  organises  an Award  Ceremony to Celebrate outstanding  MDA’s  in service delivery and bottom line is for services to serve the people so that the lives of the citizens can improve,  the N.C said.

The Public Awareness Manager also added by saying ‘’ the Breakfast Meeting is the Brain Child of the National Coordinator’’ the aim is search out grey areas and proffer solution in other to improve services and this has worked  and  has helps MDA’s to improve in the service delivery processes.

Highlight and Matters arising from Episode 208 of the SERVICOM Help Desk Radio Programme.

The Episode 208 of the SERVICOM help desk Radio programme held on the 21st of March 2023, the National Coordinator, Mrs  Nnenna  Akajemeli  and  Mrs Henrietta  Okokon  of  the Public Awareness Unit  where in the studio.

The SERVICOM Office featured the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) and the team comprised of Mr Ogirogbe kashim (Director HRM representing the Perm Sec) Mr Alaba Balogun (DD Press/Public Relations) Mrs Rebecca Nwodo(Nodal Officer) Mr Kashim said the Commission is has the mandate of Recruiting staff into the Federal Civil Service, Promoting and Disciplining of officers, he added that one of the first steps of getting recruited is by collecting a form which are FREE from a commissioner’s office and the commission has 15 commisioner’s that represent different states and the forms are kept with them.

An applicant would present photocopies of their certificates/qualification before the forms are giving to them but presently, there is an embargo on employment, Mr Kashim said. Most of the people defrauding the public by asking them to pay money for employment are not staff of the commission, whenever the commission wants to employ, it will be Advertised to the public. He added.

Mr Kashim said whoever is  caught  collecting  monies for employment should be reported to the law enforcement agents for prosecution, however, when the embargo for employment is lifted he will come and inform the public.

The N.C concluded by saying that the main arm of bringing them is to control the rumours and wrong information in public domain about the issue of employment in the Federal Civil Service Commission.
