The Episode 208 of the SERVICOM help desk Radio programme held on the 21st of March 2023, the National Coordinator, Mrs Nnenna Akajemeli and Mrs Henrietta Okokon of the Public Awareness Unit where in the studio.
The SERVICOM Office featured the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) and the team comprised of Mr Ogirogbe kashim (Director HRM representing the Perm Sec) Mr Alaba Balogun (DD Press/Public Relations) Mrs Rebecca Nwodo(Nodal Officer) Mr Kashim said the Commission is has the mandate of Recruiting staff into the Federal Civil Service, Promoting and Disciplining of officers, he added that one of the first steps of getting recruited is by collecting a form which are FREE from a commissioner’s office and the commission has 15 commisioner’s that represent different states and the forms are kept with them.
An applicant would present photocopies of their certificates/qualification before the forms are giving to them but presently, there is an embargo on employment, Mr Kashim said. Most of the people defrauding the public by asking them to pay money for employment are not staff of the commission, whenever the commission wants to employ, it will be Advertised to the public. He added.
Mr Kashim said whoever is caught collecting monies for employment should be reported to the law enforcement agents for prosecution, however, when the embargo for employment is lifted he will come and inform the public.
The N.C concluded by saying that the main arm of bringing them is to control the rumours and wrong information in public domain about the issue of employment in the Federal Civil Service Commission.
There were no emerging issues for SERVICOM to attend to.
