The SERVICOM Office is to leverage on Information Communication Technology to track service delivery performances of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) with the aim of identifying and mitigating root causes of service failure in the public sector.

SERVICOM National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer Mrs. Nnenna Akajemeli who disclosed this today in Abuja at a strategic meeting of the National Council of Nodal Officers.

She explained that plans were at conceptualization stage between SERVICOM and a private IT firm, for the establishment of a Service Delivery Dash Board which will complement the monitoring role of SERVICOM Office over MDAs’ compliance to provisions of their service charters.

“Among other things, this Dash Board will also facilitate our obligation under the Presidential Ease of doing Business (PEBEC) as it would enable us harvest quick feedback from citizens in respect of their satisfaction or dissatisfaction to the services they have received in government offices”, She said

She further noted that SERVICOM Office was strategizing on strengthening collaboration with the Bureau for Public Service Reforms (BPSR) as well as International Development partners such as Mac Arthur Foundation and DFID for realization of its mandate of improving public services.

Mrs Akajemeli encouraged Nodal Officers to be more accountable and proactive in their responsibility of bringing to the barest level, experiences of service failure by citizens and other service takers.
